How GarageGuide works
Owners ask the same question every week on Reddit, in Facebook groups and in person: who in Dubai really knows my car? GarageGuide answers it with evidence. It's free, and garages can't pay to be listed or ranked.
How we decide what a garage specialises in
We read reviews of each garage and count which car brands and models customers mention, then add recommendations from owners on Reddit and forums. Each specialty gets a confidence level and shows the numbers behind it.
High means the brand comes up in most reviews that name a car. Medium means it's a large share, or owners recommend the garage for it online. Low means it's only in the garage's name or listing, or the signal is weak.
Garages found via 40+ Google Maps searches by brand, model and industrial area; brand dealers, parts shops and listings under 10 reviews removed. For garages marked reviews_analysed > 0 we read up to 60 of the most relevant Google reviews and counted which makes and models customers mention. Community evidence comes from Reddit (r/DubaiPetrolHeads, r/dubai) and forum excerpts found via web search. Confidence: high = make named in 50%+ of make-mentioning reviews (8+ reviews) or advertised in the name and confirmed in 5+ reviews; medium = 30%+ share and 4+ reviews, or community recommendation; low = name claim only or weak signal. Match for your car
Set your car once and every list re-sorts around it. A strong match means strong review evidence for your brand or model. A good match means solid evidence. Some experience means your brand comes up, but not often.
Questions
Where do “what the internet says” excerpts come from?
Public ratings and short excerpts from Google, Reddit and owner forums, always linked to the original. They're kept separate from GarageGuide owner reviews.
How do owner reviews work?
Owners sign in, then tell us their car, the job, what they paid and whether the final bill matched the quote. Every review is checked before it goes live.
Can a garage pay to rank higher?
No. Ranking comes only from evidence for your car.
